First post in the Deere community!

I would like to see what the forum members think is the best replacement for JD-955? Actually a 955 would be great, but can’t find a good one. Everyone seems to want to keep theirs!

I have owned several JDs and Kubota machines; I will probably go Green on my next CUT. I refuse to reward Kubota for poor performance (BX-1850...'nuf said...) Back to Green!

I live on a very steep hill and own an orchard. Must have HST trans and FEL. I own all the attachments already.

Budget has to be sane, but not cheap.

Thanks!

Might try the 3203 or 3320. I have sold both. 3203 is bare bones hydro. Sold it to lumber co. to load sand and bush hog.

I am very seriously looking at a JD 2520 with 200CX loader and beetle juice for $16.5K (no tax in Oregon-about the only thing we do right...)

I am comparing to a Kubota B7800 for about $1000 less, but I really like the JD.

I will test it on my hill with no FEL next week. I will do the same with the Kubota, which on paper at least looks better.

Real life is rarely reflected properly on paper so which ever one can handle my very real hill and messy orchard will get a check.

Thanks!

(I still want to buy a used JD 955 some day!!)

The 2520 should serve you well.

16.5 for 2305 is good but 20.5 for 3520/300cx turbo is better? 4k in 3years finacing is less than $10 more per month?

I need a low profile tractor or I would buy a Kubota 3830 or a JD-3520.

Makes sense for normal applications though.

I just saw a nice 955 with MFWD, 72" midmount mower, 59" front snow blower, cab with 750 hrs for $10,900.

An additional $4000 financed over 36 months (3 years) is in fact an additional $111 per month, not the mere $10/month. Quite a difference.

You'll love the 2520. I picked up one just before the end of the year and have nothing but good things to say about it.
