I bought a JD 955 last week that seemed fine until I got home and put something on the rear lift. It's weak. Everything else works great. Excellent wheel power and front loader power. The rear lift will not lift empty arms at idle. At full RPM it will lift about 200lbs on the arms (me standing on the arms). I put my old 5ft rear mower on it, and it barely gets the front wheels off the ground. The tractor came with a 5 ft belly mower and it lifts very very slowly at full RPMs. It won't lift at all at 50% throttle. I've been googling around and I've checked the hydro fluid level and I've drained it and cleaned the filter screen (barely anything there before cleaning it). The flow control knob under the left side of the seat is open. I've tested it at various points in the knob travel. It will slow the movement rate as expected. It just feels like there is a partial flow blockage some where since it will kinda work at increased power settings. I've also removed the FEL and there was no change after that. Any thoughts? I am also going to have a Tech manual by tomorrow.
