JD branded or Frontier?

Frontier makes some good stuff.

My biggest issue with Frontier is that their website sucks. Not enough details, pics, etc.,

Which disc mower are you looking at?

My JD dealer doesn't even carry the Frontier or JD disc mowers. I ended up with a Krohn mower.

It looks like the Frontier disc mowers are the exact older version of the JOhn Deere mower.

I'm looking at the Frontier DM1140 and 1150.

I think that they're OEM Kuhn mowers -- either GMD 44 and 55 or GMD 400 and 500.

The John Deere counterpart is JD 240 -- DM1140 -- GMD 400.

I haven't been able to find the John Deere counterpart for the DM1150 - Kuhn 55 and 500.

The Deere website also needs to be tested with MAC Safari browser. Pricing doesn't work, have to use Firefox. Agree on not enough info and details, and there is inconsistency in how information is listed on various models making it harder to compare. Also need overviews of the brands showing sizes, HP ranges, duties (light, medium, heavy).

If the attachments were as well organized as the tractors, that would be a good thing.
