JD deluxe XUV Cab - Window posi open latch

Got my new 625i w/ deluxe cab and wanted to share something my dealer did not know.
The front window on my 07 hpx has a small bar that locks the front window open - the window on these things is huge and heavy so I always lock it to help take the weight off the hinges and cylinders.
So when I picked up the new baby I asked the salesman where was the positive lock - the front window has changed since 07 - it goes all the way to the hood - he did not know.
Course its not too hard to figure out - each of the latches has two "stops" hopefully the pics show it well enough.
There was a post a couple of months ago about the windows blowing out on the cabs - wonder what happened. Maybe this will help someone.

So far I like the 625 - its got a couple of quirks - like the brake hanging off the side of the engine - but all in all pretty sweet.

I would consider that an improvement over the steel bar they had going across the top of the hood held in by knobs. A real inconvenience for access under the hood. It's still not instant access to under the hood, but much better.

Anytime you add holes and hardware to glass, you can increase stress on the glass. If there is an imperfection in the glass or too much stress on it, you can have a failure.

Nice machine. I considered a gator when I was shopping for a UTV. Liked them a lot, but the Kubota RTV500's small size (manuervability) and 0% financing won me over. Good luck with your new toy.
