I recently acquired a JD Hydro 185 lawn tractor. The lever for the hydro-static speed has to have constant pressure to move. When pressure is released it slows down to a slower speed. I see a spring on the arm that does not seem to be attached to anything. Could this be the culprit? Or is the problem internal? I don't think it has to do with the oil but is more of an adjustment issue. Thanks for any input.
