Mowing JD lawn tractor LT160 (1988 ?) - 38 " mower, belt replacement

the earlier belt absolutely shredded so I was not able to get a perfect pre-replacement route that the belt goes through. No owner's manual (bought used), and some websites are helpful, but most reference the 42 " mower... bought a replacement belt and worked on the task of replacing it, but it sits loose. I'm sure that it is connected to the spring loaded tensioner connected to one roller. seems to run too close to metal the way the belt is currently routed.

any schematics for a 38" mower deck - belt path for the JD LT160 ? thanks.

what a job . with a bit of extra help and know how, we managed to figure the mower belt puzzle out. the lawn is mowed and the tractor is in for the night :dance1:

Here is a copy of the section for mower servicing a 38 inch mower on an LT133 which is a lower powered version of the same tractror. Hope this helps.
