Hello All, I am new to this site, and by necessity I found you. It looks like a great site for information and some comradery.
I have recently acquired a John Deere LT 155. It did not start when I got it, I purchased a used 15 hp Kohler command but it was off a craftsman mower. So the wiring harness and fuel pump not like for like. Never the less, I mounted the used engine along with the craftsman muffler, and rigged a gravity feed fuel supply. The engine seems to run pretty good, after some tweaks, and adjustments.
So, now the drive does not engage, no forward, no reverse. The cutting deck engages fine.
My FIRST question, is there an electrical lockout on the drive mechanism? If so, that would be a relief, as I do not have all the wiring switched from the craftsman engine to the JD chassis.
Can anyone give me some advice on where to start troubleshooting the NO Drive problem? Thank you in advance, as I have seen the type of technical answers as I searched the site.
I will also need some advice on switching Or matching the two wiring harnesses but first I want to repair the drive problem.
I am excited to get this tractor in the field, and put it to work.
