JD LT190 lawn tractor......

Hello all......new member here with a mechanical question.

Our LTD190 is a little over 10 years old and we have it serviced on a regular basis. Yesterday afternoon I went out to mow and it ran fine for about 15 minutes and then just stop running....like it wasn't getting any fuel. It will restart but does not run for long before shutting down again. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? My best guess would be the fuel filter....

Try the fuel cap vent, it blocks up and causes a vacuum in the tank.

The fuel filter looked dirty and while the mower was running I could see the filter spinning so I figured a $5 filter would be a good place to start.

When I went over to pick up the filter I checked the invoice to make sure it hadn't been replaced in May........we took it in for some belt and pulley issues and they also replaced the carb because they said it was running rough. I'm a little bit annoyed that they would replace the carb without replacing the filter first.....would have saved me about $300

So anyways.....I replaced the filter and it's running fine now
