You are correct. No 7-Iron deck for the 4110. My late, great JD 445 had the exact same deck as my 4110, except the 445's deck was yellow. I have never known what the significance of the color was. Before the 4000 series, all of the X55 series compacts came with yellow decks. Perhaps even the 4100 (I am sure someone will verify).
The 7-Iron deck is an extremely deep deck at 5 3/4 inches which makes it an awesome cutter. I just ordered a 7H19 commercial walk-behind with a 7-Iron as my detail mower--I'll use my 4110 for the open acres. My speculation about limting the 7-Iron deck from a 4110 is that such a deep deck would all but eliminate a cutting height any higher than 3". As it is, with the shallower stock 4110/4115 deck, the cut height at full lift is about 4". Many complain that the 4110 with MMM has inadequate clearance with the deck installed. I have just gotten real good at removing and installing the MMM if I am going to do much loader work. That will probably happen less often once I get my back-up piece.
