I was disgusted in my state, too, so am buying 350 miles away from home. If the deal goes through (I'm at the anxious part), it will be for an average 18% off list, NOT counting the rebate. We are still debating that. Don't be shy about checking elsewhere. Some dealers just don't get it. There are mixed opinions about buying far from home; consider all opinions. For me, the thousands in savings, plus warrantee justifies the decision. Prices vary considerably -- don't give up on JD yet, if it's what you really want. That said, you won't go wrong with Kubota, if that is your choice.
