Anyone see this last night? I recorded it but haven't had a chance to view it yet. Was it worth watching?

I watched one episode when it first aired. I was not impressed at all. Basically all they said was talk to the dealer.

Thanks, guess I'll just delete it then. :(

Don't delete it based on what I just said. You should watch a bit of it and see what you think about it. Like I said, I saw the first episode. There have been others since then. I didn't bother to watch them since the first one didn't impress me. Who knows, maybe they improved it a little although I would probably doubt it.

Exactly like you said JayC. Got the same thing out of this eposde again. Talk to the dealer. Who does the dealer talk to? Maybe the same people on t.v. who tell the dealer their looking into it. Also got the feeling J.D. is strickly into sales of what the majority of the customers want rather than individual needs. Seems to be an advertisement for J.D. with Max agreeing to all said rather than RF-TV. I keep watching hoping it will get better and Max finally says "hey, you haven't really answered the question asked."

I think you'll find that almost all manufacturers build their products to suit the majority of their customers (vs custom building something to fit each buyer's needs) so I wouldn't bash Deere for that. And some of the callers were just asking for more than they are willing to pay for. I think we'd all like to buy the base model and get the deluxe features. :)

As for the information provided to each caller, what should they tell them? Besides the legal liabilities involved, it's tough to give good info based on the caller's 10 second description of their needs. Like the Deere crew said regarding the caller from TN--- if you're in the mountains, you'll want one thing whereas someone in the lowlands of the state will want/need something else. "Ask your dealer" seems like the appropriate response to me.

Even though the shows are really just a big JD advertisement, I think it's pretty cool that they're willing to let people call in and ask about issues on a national venue like RFDTV.

Of course, I've also watched some of the Tractor Supply Company shows and even one or two of the agri-chemical suppliers' shows. :D
