JD water pump

I have a 89 JD 955 with a leaky water pump. Can anyone tell me if the pump is rebuildable?

at one time you could get the pieces to do it from Mother Deere, not any more. Part number for the pump is AM880905 about $400+- from Deere, Google it and you'll find cheaper
