JD x758 Battery Replacement OEM

Hello everybody. My JD x758 4wd battery died after 6 great years. I want to get a replacement from ? WalMart Auto battery. I have used a 2005 Honda Civic battery fro my JD 4200 with great success and at a considerable lower cost and a 2 year warranty but not a 6 month joke of a warranty. That said ..... Does anyone know what battery to get for a JD x758 ? I am a 2 hour drive to the John Deere Dealer and only 15 minutes to WalMart. Thanks and stay cool.

The correct battery size is U1. You may want to measure the available space and see if other sizes will fit. OEM John Deere batteries seem to have larger capacities than most aftermarket items. The specified JD battery is 500 CCA and you will have trouble finding another U1 battery with that capacity. If it starts easy and you don't need to start it in cold weather, the WalMart battery at 340 CCA may be adequate.

Vibration and heat are the enemies of tractor batteries. I would suggest some foam or rubber padding under the battery.

John Deere x758 4wd uses a Group size 51 I bought one locally mfg in USA $139 works perfect 5 minute install

Correct...it is a group 51 battery. The Deere # TY25876B is what I just put in our X744 to replace the NAPA Legend 7551 battery that was in there. Interstate also has the MT-51 battery.
