I was wondering if anybody had this happen, my clutch is maybe 3 yrsold worked great until this week, went to mow first time ,took blade off, put deck on ,started tractor blades engaged, checked switch ,ok,thinking something rusted up overwinter,do I need to take clutch off and clean it or can u even get it apart to do so?

Maybe if you run it for a few, the clutch will disengage?

Typically, it's the bearings in the clutch are rusted and thus always engaged.

You could try disconnecting the clutch connector at the clutch and then try again. Seems unlikely that the power to the clutch is stuck on. If it was, your battery would be dead the next day.
