Hi all,

I recently saw a JD4300 for sale, year 2001, 720 hours on it, tires like new, hydraulics for FEL on board, 1x double hydraulic output at the back, manual shifting, 540 PTO. Asking price is 9800$.

I'm sort of interested since parts for my Hinomoto are becoming hard to find. Besides that I'm still happy with the orange beast.

The only thing I dislike about the JD are the tires: front = Galaxy Turf Special 25/105LX15, back = Galaxy Turf Special 41/18LLx16.1. I would rather see industrial or turf tires. But I don't think I can easily replace the tires without changing the rims also ...

What are your opinions on this little fella ? Is it worth it ?

You can always negotiate one price. The question is... will the JD4300 as it's set up with the gulf course tires, be a good choice for whatever it is you expect a tractor to do?

No it will not.

There is a dealer some more miles away, now I think it's worth the trip.

He has a 3036E in stock, brand new. Now I think it will be worth to negotiate on price and tire choice on his stock machine (currently AG) as I searched the internet last night and I can't seem to find any replacements for the JD4300 tires nearby so it will cost me at least 1000$ for another set of rims + tires, probably more if they are still in good shape.

Thanks for your input guys.

That is overpriced IMO.

I just sold one for 7500 with R4's and less hours.

If you don't want turf tires I would keep looking. Cheaper to find what fits you as is.

I've had a 4300 with R4 tires for 13 years and it has been great. However the one you are looking at is basically a big lawn mower.

Equipment on tractor house I feel is way over priced. I had turf tires on my previous 2002 4310 and really didn't have any issues with them. Went thru the mud and snow just as good or better than my R4's on my current tractor

Thanks for your input guys, I called them the other day to check if there was a possibility to swap tires, but it was just sold.
