Arrived at the farm this weekend and noticed a spot on the concrete floor about the diameter of a quarter (stained - not puddled) where some fluid appears to have dripped from the steering cylinder on the right hand side. There is no hose connection right there, it appears to me it would have to be a seal. I ran my hand along the length of the underside of the chromed rod and couldn't find any residual liquid to pinpoint this as the location.
Do I just keep an eye on it right now? Alert the dealer? I've got two years so I'm not real keen on pulling the trigger to call them without more info on the problem. It's also a 45+ mile trip to haul it in or for them to come and get it.
I definitely don't want their first post-sale impression of me to be that I'm going to call about every petty issue which comes up. I can email my salesman who also happens to be the general manager of the dealership.
What do you think? I'm new to all this fluid hanging around inside the hoses and such. If my car leaks, I just tighten the bolt!
