JD750 LED Lamps

Could anyone recommend an LED upgrade?

I was thinking of adding four LED lamps on my ROPS, two pointing forward and two for the rear. The headlights are woefully inadequate but have been unable to find a suitable replacement.

There's a lot of options out there, and amazon is an easy place to buy them with good security if they end up being crap (free return shipping).

How much current capacity you have available on your machine will impact how much lighting you can add. Prices for LED's have really come down in the past 6 months. Lots of options.

I grafted a set onto my 750 a couple of years back. It wasn't pretty, but it sure improved the situation!

I removed the original lights and housings, and cut out a set of aluminum blanks to fill the holes in the grille. The blanks were screwed into place and drilled for the brackets that came with the LED lights.

Looking at the picture, it would have helped appearance-wise if I'd painted the aluminum black.

I am limited by the 15-ampere alternator as to how many lights I can have, but so far I installed these Amazon.com: SHANREN LED Work Light Lamp Off Road High Power ATV Jeep 4x4 Tractor 27w 60 Degree Flood Light: Automotive for my rear and ROPS lights and these Amazon.com: SHANREN DSquare 18w 1260lm 6 Cree XBD Flood Led Work Light Bar Off-road SUV Boat 4x4 Jeep Lamp 4wd(Park of 2): Automotive as my front headlamps.

Removed the existing headlamps and used these.

I used a slip-roller to curl some sheet metal to hold the lamp and attached said piece to the existing holes.

Well, knowing that the JD CUT tractors are really Yanmars, jump on over to Hoye's website or Fredricks Outdoors/Imports for Yanmar/JD parts. They have OEM LED retrofit upgrades vs. a DIY mod job.
