Mowing JD990 + NH 451 sicklebar mower

Need help!
Does anyone know how to hook up a NH 451 sicklebar mower to a JD 990 tractor??

I tried to do it today and found that the JD's three point hitch is too narrow at the top. I finally just used my top link to the frame of the NH, bypassing their set up, but also making it impossible to raise the mower.

I also have a NH 451 mower as you described. On my JD 4500 I chained the top links together and just picked it up with a quick hitch. It worked ok, you just don't have the flexibility of the sickle going up and down as you raise and lower the mower. I am working on a solution to add a hyd. cylinder to do that.

Tried hooking up 451 sickle to my 3320 also, found your posts and was wondering if you found options to lift bar and attaching to top link ? Thank you
