I saw in last weeks Cycle News that Gibson had won the title, I too thought it was very cool he was sponsored by Mahindra. I don't know how I had missed that in the past. I don't follow Arenacross closely but I do see the results every week during the series and until the championship was decided I didn't realize Mahindra was one of his major sponsors. Now they need to up the ante and start throwing some money into the Supercross and the National series ( 40,000-70,000 attendences w/ lots of new found TV coverage).

I wholeheartedly agree. That statement was really meant as a gentle hint to anyone at Mahindra Corp. who may monitor this site. I know corporate sponsorship isn't an "easy-as-cut-the-check" situation and appreciate that Mahindra was willing to sponsor Gibson and bring their name to Arenacross! I pray it is a relationship that continues to help riders, grow the series and provide a solid return to Mahindra. I really love all forms of off road motorcycling and appreciate any interest, in any discipline or series, by outside sponsors.
It is extremely unlikely that Supercross/Motocross will ever reach the "Nascar level" but they are growing and the more outside interest from sponsors, the better in making it ( or any off road series) grow.
Thank you for posting this so we can all appreciate what Mahindra helped accomplish and a BIG THANK YOU to Mahindra for their interest in Gibson and off road motorcycling.
