Yes I imagine it would be heavy--blade cutting edges usually are. With a bit of repair you will be in business with a blade.:D

No I meant it is HEAVY. It took 6 of us to pick up just 1 end to set it on my tailgate then push the rest into the bed of the truck. Yea I will be in busness real soon.

I've never used a boxblade scrapper blade or grader.

What he means by "It's all cutting edges", is that your bro-i-law took some large cutting edges off of some big blades (Maybe like state roads snow plows?) And made the balde itself out of 3 or 4 solid cutting edges versus usign cold rolled steel and bolting a cutting edge to it.

The cutting edges are usually hardened carbon steel.
Should be pretty tough!

The weight of the thing is great as long as you got the HP to use it.
It should dig and scrape very well with that kind of weight. ;)

SkunkWerx, thanks for translating.

What I meant to say was that it looks like the blade is made of used cutting edges from a road grader. Normally a Rear blade or a box blade is made from thinner material. 1/4 inch or less with a heavier cutting edge attached to the thinner blade part. Since the cutting edges that you BIL used to made the blade are, what say guess??, 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick your "new" blade is going to be VERY heavy. Sorry for the confusion.
