So for a first post this is a big one. Ive had my 284 since 2006 and used it a lot, its been relatively tough. While doing some digging/grading with the FEL I felt something break/give in the front end and had no 4wd. Now mind you ive never took my tractor out of 4wd this whole time. Ive used it like a dozer moving full size pine tree's, piling brush and digging with the fel so its NOT the tractors fault. With that said Ive dropped the front end took everything apart and found some bad gears, bearings, seals etc. Ordered new ones from Tommy at affordable (thank you Tommy) but now Im down to the front axel gears and see some broke bolts around two small metal pieces in the center section. After removing the two alen bolts and screwing the big rings back as far as a I can , How does each section come out the ends? Are they threaded in the housing or just push out? Any help would be appreciated so I can order more parts from Tommy..LOL
