The speed regulator that contols raising of 3pt hitch will not unscrew,I broke plastic handle on it trying to move it.Located below seat about 3" .Any ideas .
Setscrew is a good place to start. I have also had mine lock in place with a 3PH impliment raised. I closed the valve down too far while trying to set the speed and the hydraulic force on the top of the speed regulating valve assembly caused by the weight of the impliment pushing on the lift cylinder held it in place. Lifted the weight off with a floor jack and the valve unscrewed with 2 fingers. I guess I could have also tried unscrewing it while raising the 3PH so it had equal pressure both above and below the valve.
Mine also had a bit of rust on the threads when I took it out and inspected it which probably didn't help it to turn.
Thanks for allyour help guys.I am going to soak the control with penatrating oil for now and play with it later.Getting cold in Canada now.I am installing a new front loader that just cleared customs after 8 weeks, should I remove front weights?will loader hit them when working with down presser on bucket? Ken.
You want need the weights up front with the loader. The back of the tractor will need the extra weight now. [depending on the weight you will be lifting]
