Hello all.

I purchased a snowblower for my Jinma 254 this weekend and wanted to know if the 2 rear power outlet needs its own FEL valve to control the snowblower chute? I connected the 2 chute hoses to the chute hydraulic however what ends up happening is the only control lever that would make the chute rotate is the same lever that controls my 3 point hitch lift and once the chute rotate example 180 deg it has a limit bolt once it hit it then and only then can I control the 3 point hitch lift and can no longer control the chute unless I invert the chute hydraulic hoses then it will do the same but just opposite as mentioned above.

Do I need a separate FEL ? thank you all.

FEL stands for Front End Loader but I think Tom knew what you meant :) What you need is a diverter valve and hoses to run your chute. Be sure to add an adjustable relief valve in the circuit if the diverter valve doesn't already have one integrated. With an adjustable relief valve you can set the chute hydraulic pressure well below the pump maximum pressure. You don't need much pressure to operate the chute. Lowering the pressure will help save your mechanical stops when your chute is fully left or fully right.

Being from Canada it might be easier for you to go to any reputable local hydraulic shop who should be able to help you out but if the place Tom suggested has bolt on kits that may be a better option for you.

The port out the back of the Jinma is in parallel with the 3PH cylinder. IE: when you lift the 3PH control, pressure and flow go to both the 3PH cylinder and the port. It was intended I think to power a dump trailer as fluid can flow back into the rear port when the 3PH lever is lowered. I got a small dump trailer last year and it works nicely for this purpose. the fluid will take the path of least resistance, so your chute probably rotated untill it stopped then the 3PH started to raise. You can force fluid to go only to the port by screwing the 3PH speed reg valve(down in front of the seat) all the way closed, but then you cannot use the 3PH. This is not convienient if using the 3PH for the blower:)

One way to do this is to add a single spool open center valve in series with the loader control valve, or replace the loader valve with a 3 spool valve. Then you can use that new circuit to control the chute. It also sets you up for the easy addition of a grapple on the loader, or even a hydraulic toplink if you should want in the future. I replaced my 2 spool with a 3 spool when I built my grapple bucket.

I am sure Tommy will set you up with something that will work.

Good Luck.
