Jinma 284 electrical problem

Ok 2nd question. 2004 JM284 y385 motor, cranks and starts right up, but has no electric to anything else, no lights, gauges anything. I checked the regular fuses and all are fine. Used a light tester and no power to Any fuse on either side. Any help greatly appreciated.

The accessory circuit starts at the positive terminal of the battery, then goes to the starter. From there a wire goes to the fuse box, where there is a 30A main fuse. The other side of the fuse goes to the key switch, where it gets split out.

The starting circuit splits before the fuse box, at the starter, with a wire going to the clutch switch and then to the key switch.

I'd start with the test light at the battery and follow the circuit -- battery, starter, main fuse, key switch. My bet is either main fuse or key switch.

Also make sure your test light is good.

Seems like you're on the money. The switch, when I crank I have power to everything and all works, but nothing otherwise. Also while cranking if you giggle the key the power is intermittent. So safe to say it's the switch?

it must be the switch, it's not supposed to be jiggled to get power to the rest of the circuits!.. that would be too tiring also

Sounds like it. My recollection is the switch is pretty standard and that it can be replaced by one from another tractor brand, maybe Ford. Maybe something you can find at NAPA. Do a google search.
