Yes. The Y485 is in fact just the 4 cylinder version of the 3 cylinder Y385.

I have one for the Y485 in my TS354C. That particular reduction gear model is intended as a direct replacement for the Chinese QD100C3 starter. So whatever engines the QD1000C3 fits on, so will that particular reduction gear starter.

I was not sure what engine it fits other than the Y385. JM Parts will be able to answer all the questions to what else it fits.

I tightened all the connections when I cleaned them. I have also tried jump starting with the same result.
I will try cleaning the starter and see if that is the problem.

If you jump it and it still has probs.. then that does sound like it may be the starter itself.

Post back what you find ont he disassemble.

We have been getting a lot of snow and blowing snow so I have been using the tractor a lot lately. It's also been very cold so I haven't tried taking the started off then cleaning it. I'll have to wait until it quits snowing and warms up some.

Thanks to all those who replied. It's been awhile since my first post but I did just get the starter off last weekend and cleaned it. Some of it had a copper colored film but it wasn't rust. The way it looked inside I'm suprised it turned over with the decompression lever. I think it turns over now better than when I first got it.
