Hi Forchaps - welcome to TBN

Can you give us a bit more info?

If my memory serves me correctly, the 2004 Jinma's only have one hyraulic pump, serving both the steering and services (links arms / loader etc)? You can tell by looking on the right hand side of the engine - you will see either one or two pumps...

If it is single pump (and you have no problem with the rest of the hydraulic systems) my guess would be the steering valve is faulty...

Is the steering valve located at the base of the steering wheel shaft?
Someone told me to disconnect one line going to the hydraulic power steering cylinder that runs parallel to the fron axle. If there is fluid and pressure they think there is "bypass" going on and that a rebuild of the hyd. cylinder is in order. Do you agree?

Before you disconnect anything:

I have a 2006 345. These tractors have a tendency for the steering cylinder to become unthreaded at the left end. The steering cylinder moves but doesn't do anything when that happens. The rubber boot hides what has happened and holds everything together. If you turn the wheel does the cylinder move?

How good are the Jinma tractors ? How many hours do you have on yours ? How many problems, how much power..etc..? thanks

I have a Jinma 304 that I'm very happy with. I only have about 200 hours on it. Is is just a bit underpowered for its weight, but the 354 shouldn't have that problem. It is solidly built, simple mechanically and does what I need from it, primarily bush hogging, scraper box and loader work. Would I get another? Absolutely. Would I recommend one to complete tyro with no mechanical abilities and no local service? Nope.

I have about 900 hours on mine. Its been good so far. Replaced the starter and battery and and one hydraulic hose. Its a work horse.
