Well, the optima will still be better at vibration resistance than a plain old light duty car/truck battery.
If you get 3 years out of it, smile and get another one. Don't feel bad. Both my Nh tractors had OE NH batteries go out at the 3 year mark. Both were replaced with a HD battery, either interstate, or napa.
