Jinma 6" or 8" PTO chipper for my 28 HP PTO?

My only comment is that with a 6" chipper the branches on any size stick need to fold to 6" to get thru. With a 8" chipper they don't need to fold as much.....

We have 6" Jinma chipper on 29 PTO HP tractor.
We also had a pillow block bearing failure as others mentioned. I replaced both with brand name parts.
We also suffered the frozen rotor. I was shutting down but my wife was still stuffing the last branch in. Bad idea. I had to take the whole side off to free it.
I did several modifications:
1.) 1 knife had to be shimmed to have proper clearance.
2.) Small chunks of wood were coming around the main shaft to the feed roller belt drive causing the belt to fell from the pulley. I made two parts cover preventing that.
3.) I removed the roller and sharpened the ribs so they could grab better on the wood. I also found that the sharp ribs on the roller will chew off sticking out branches from the logs and feed them in.

We chip mostly hard wood such as hedge apple.
