Mowing Jinma Belly Mower JM9GX-1.5A?

I have one, slightly used, that I will sell cheap. on fairly flat lawns it might be OK, it has a very long belt and that causes some problems, there is not a lot of room for it to go up and down. If adjusted properly, you can actually get it to go up and down fairly level, but it takes some trial and error to get it right. I sold the one I have a couple years ago and the customer returned it because he couldnt keep the belt on it. I even have new belts and blades for it (maybe only set in captivity?). I recommend a rear finish mower. With all the dealers importing Jinma tractors, you don't see these offered very often. But if you want to try one out, let me know.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it was either brand new or not very good. In either case I didn't want one. Now I know why I don't want that one. A good mid mount design is still the best solution for my yard. I'll keep waiting and hoping.

I'll admit total ignorance on what I'm going to ask. I've heard of some kind of mid mount PTO on tractors and I'm guessing it could be used on mid mount mowers, or possibly a front mounted snow blower? Could someone explain the configuration and if the Jinmas have these as an option. If not Jinmas, what tractor brands have this option. I've only dealt with what I consider the old standard rear PTO on tractors. Didn't mean to steal a thread, just thought it was close to the subject though. bjr

Jinma's don't have them. It is another PTO splined shaft that comes out of a transfer case like affair much like the front driveshaft does on a 4X4 tractor. It is typically used to drive a mid mount mower. I have seen them used for snow blowers and powered sweeping brushes. Some of them are also higher RPM for this purpose. Surplus center had a couple 72" mid mount mower decks on their website a few weeks ago. They were designed for a 2000 RPM mid PTO(mower deck driveshaft pointed to the rear).

With the complexities and hardware to feed a mid mount mower from the rear, I would really be inclined to go with a rear mount finish mower just for simplicity. I just don't see the advantage of a mid on a Jinma. They don't have the greatest turning radius anyway.
