Looking for some feedback on the cabs on these chinese tractors:

1. Do they qualify as a ROPS?
2. Are they fairly tight and quiet or leaky and noisy?
3. Is the AC/heat sufficient?
4. Any other observations on quality, or lack thereof.

Looking for some feedback on the cabs of these chinese tractors:

1. Do they qualify as a ROPS? You mean EROPS?

2. Are they fairly tight and quiet? Yes.

3. Is the AC/heat sufficient? Depending on your location. Sahara, no. Antarctic, no.

4. Any other observations on quality. Good to better.

I might add that you were answering your own questions.

Sorry Bob but your response makes no sense to me.

Hey Snod - welcome to TBN :)

Jinma produce a number of different "cabs" for their tractors ranging from a simply canopy, to a cloth cab and of course the full cab (which I guess you are asking about)?

There is a good video showing a Jinma 354 fitted with a cab on youtube: YouTube - Jinma 354

1. The cabs are ROPS (they have to be as the ROPS roll bar has to be removed to fit them.

2. The cabs are fairly airtight if properly fitted. However please bear in mind that Jinma tractors are often sold as self assembly (and the cab is an optional extra), so it will depend upon how well it has been fitted. Extra insulation can be added behind the dash to help block out engine noise, but Jinma tractors do tend to make quite a lot of noise from the transmission, which won't be blocked out from the cab.

3. I am unsure if the cabs are fitted with A/C? Definately I have not seen one with it installed as you would obviously need a seperate pump / compressor unit to mount to the engine.

I should say that cabs are not something we have so far supplied on our Siromer tractors (an enhanced version of to Jinma). We do offer them, but given the warm climate here combined with lots of overhead vines & orchads, there's not much demand for cabs!

Hope this helps a bit

Thanks Local. Yes I'm talking about an actual cab with windows, doors, etc. Most I've seen are listed as being avail. with heat and air.

Have a look at this link from somebody who has a Jinma with cab fitted - you maybe able to contact them and ask how they get on with it (as I see you are a member and have asked the question on their site also!).

Sorry Bob but your response makes no sense to me.

My apologies. EROPS = Enclosed Roll Over Protection Structure.
You will have to contact a dealer or someone that has the cab to find out if it is certified EROPS. If it doesn't have the cert. then it isn't.
