I purchased a new bed blade (anvil) for my model 6 Jinma chipper and the new blade has one beveled edge, the original has 2 flat edges. Contacted the seller and he stated to install beveled edge towards the chipper blades. Has anyone run into this before?
It is obvious that the new blade you bought is not compatible with JINMA 6'' chipper. As a fixed blade, normally both sides of it are flat and can be replaced and used interchangeably.
I went ahead and installed it as Circle G Tractor Parts instructed me with the tapered side towards the rotating blades, set the gap to specs, They assured me it was the correct bed blade. After running some 2-3 inch branches through the chipper I was not pleased with the way it chipped, turned the blade around with the flat side towards the rotating blades and it chips a lot better. The original bed blade was broken and had to be replaced, so I just figured this was a updated blade. I know now that they sold me the wrong part even though it did fit.
