Jinma\'s with shuttle shift

The Tractorconnection.com site is talking about shuttle shift for the 18-28hp is now avalible. Does anyone have any experience with this? Does this mean they have a syncronized gear box to shift while moving?

Also, there are sites reviewing the specs of the Jinma tractors and the 3-point lift capacity is in N value. How does one convert that to lb's?

Those that have the Jinma tractors 4wd with FEL's, have there been any problems with the front axle under extreme FEL use?

I know a number of dealers have the shuttle shift on order, but haven't heard of any reports of them here and how well they work.

Check-out Northern Tractor's website for specs that have been converted for the three versions of the Jinma, they have.

I am not sure about "extreme", but there are a couple of seals and felt washers, that tend to seep sooner with fel installed. The older style side hyd steering arm, tended to break, with full fel load and cranking the wheel while tractor was stationary. Most Jinmas now have the front steering cyl, that doesn't have that issue.

I drove a shuttle shift last week at Tony's shop ,You do need to come to a complete stop when shifting from foward to reverse,I do like it alot over the conventional shifter,You do loose the creeper range but that is not a loss since it useless anyways for the most part,You now have 6 speeds foward and reverse,They use a very heavy cable which seems durable as far as longjevity,The routing was a little funkey but it is a nice improvement,also it had a shield on the steering cylinder,all anodized 3 point linkage,nice hand throttlethrough the dash,modern sway links with no turn buckles just pull the pin adjust and reincert pin,over the last 14 months their seems to be a little change-improvement everytime - Tractorloft.com

John-That Im not aware of,In first gear / high foward feels about the same as previous,pretty busy making room for a large Woods order,If you know anybody looking send them my way for great deals on the full Woods line up(sorry no woods loaders for the Chinese tractors)-Regards Glenn

As always I'm out of step. Wouldn't want to give up 12 speed for 6 speeds and shuttle. I use the creeper speeds and also appreciate at times the minor extra speed selections compared to L range. As to creeper, in addition to rototilling, I use tractors for assisting with construction and in extremely tight quarters at times where slip clutch and lunge method is not for me. I do have a tractor with syncro shuttle (and much superior transmission arrangement), and have used others. Shuttles offer no magic, but if all else is equal, it is a bonus.

The real question is when are they going to have hydro-stat trans.I might give up my Kubota for that.Of course thier attractive price would have to go up.
