It occured to me today, I only post about the 1850 when it breaks down. It impresses mt a lot too, but I never talk about that, LOL. Go to any leadership seminar or read a like book, and it will say positive affirmation makes good employees better. So its probably human nature to focus on negatives, way too often.

We took on a pretty big (60M+SqFt area) to repair from construction damage and renovate.

One of the high lights was a bankside , tore up from a hugh buried pipe (waste water) and backhoe work. Even knowing the PTs hillside abilities I was sure we would be doing most of it by hand.

The 1850 effortlessly raked it smooth with a bobcat power rake. The steepest places was prob. around 60 degrees...here I had to come down at an angle. I skipped one area only because there was a drainage opening there, and I knew it had to be hand raked.

The hillside was about 500 SqFT. A tracked skid steer could have done it, but it would have rutted it and required more hand raking to cover its tracks. And I sure wouldn't have wanted to been sitting on it while it was on that slope with that heavy PR on the front.

I know you are running a company, and the last thing you have on hand is a camera, but I would love to see what you are doing.

I second that, would love to see some pictures. I know what you mean though, my PT impresses me all of the time. It will do things you wouldn't think it would be capable of. In my case maybe a little slower than some of the larger machines, but it always gets the job done never the less.

I sure do wish I had taken before pictures. I thinkit will be ok if we take pics there. Some of my commercial cust. don't allow any pics.
The bankside is out side of the fence and guard house though.

Well, that explains the lack of pictures! :D

A PT is like owning a stubborn mule... you cuss and curse at it, but will bawl your eyes out when it dies. ;)

I don't think they can prevent you from taking pictures, It is for your protection in case of a non-payment, or lawsuit. Before and after pictures are crucial in proving what you did. I would defiantly take pictures, not only for the above, but in showing your work, as in a picture book, to new potential customers. You might even try and get letters of appreciation from those customers that you have pleased. I would also note down any change orders on the contracts with a new estimate for the change, and have them sign it. You don't have to do any of this, just because I recommended it. I retired from the Landscape and Irrigation business about 3 years ago, and you learn things. I wish someone had told me about good and bad customers, insurance and such. I learned the hard way.

If by chance you are working on military reservations, and areas that deal with National Security, you can probably still take pictures with approval of the Security department. They would want to see them I am sure.

The things we know, and the things that we would like to know is the question.

JJ,
Now I know you're a LCO vet., I'll have to pick your brain more. ;)
I agree on the pics for C.M.A. factor.

I wish I had got before shots, its not that steep now prob. 30 to 45 deg. Before the bottom was a straight drop off, where the leveled it burying the reservoir.

We also put the straw blower on a pallet, and carry it around on the PT.. with the hose off, and turned down works good, A lot easier than fighting that hose.
