John Deere 1026 error code preheat coil fault??

I went to go out and mow yesterday and when I turned the key to let it warm up and then I went to start it I heard a pop then the lights started flashing and an error code came up on the hour meter that read "preheat coil fault", can someone tell me what is wrong with my 1026r?

I don't have the codes, but someone should be along soon. A call or visit to your Deere dealer should get you the codes, or might be a good time to get the service manual for your tractor so you don't get caught short.
Did the tractor not start?

Sounds like a glow plug issue as there is no air intake heater on this machine. I would give the code info to your dealer for their recommendation, especially if you still in the warranty phase.

How long is the warranty? It is 3 years old but only has 105 hours. My dealer is picking it up in the morning, he is thinking it is a relay switch but not 100% sure.

I am having the same problem with my 1026, even went and talked to JD people they had no clue. Does anyone have a answer to this problem with a preheat coil fault or anyone knows what it is or location.

The John Deere dealer ran a bunch of tests on it but the only thing they could find wrong was the battery. It don't do it anymore so guess that was it.
