What maintenance should I do? Should I change the oil the 1st time after 10 hours then after that every 50 hours? When I was looking for a SCUT I saw several old 2305's with less than 200 hours, man those people must have never used them. I already put 3 hours on mine and only used it one time. I prolly have 10 hours on it by the weekend. I bought it to use not sit in my garage and look pretty, it does that too but I am going to use it.

There are always a variety of opinions on proper maintenance. I just go by the manual on all of our tractors. We have had all maintenance done by the dealer on our JD for reasons I won't go into, It is in the shop now getting a new short block installed under warranty.

Several users here have stated that there is break-in oil in the engine, if that is really true, I would wait longer than hours.

I would leave the oil alone for now and change it at 50 hours then again at 150 hrs. After these two initial changes I would use multiples of 150 hours thereafter.

Follow the manual recommendations, but for my 2320, it said change at 50 hours then every 200 hours or 1 year. Since I don't expect to put 200 hours a year on mine, I am on an annual oil change schedule.

I would not change the oil at 10 hours. The filter will easily hold any contaninants from manufacturing. Do keep a check on the oil level, it may use oil until the rings seat.
