John Deere 1050 Clutch pedal drift pin

My clutch peal seems decoupled from clutch. I have had this apart before, and it had a sheared drift pin that holds the outside to the inside shafts together. I very much suspect hat this has happened again. Any suggestions how to fix? Do I need to split the tractor in order to get to this pin?

On most of those, if it’s the pin at the clutch throw out fork, yes you’re got to split it, Deere/ Yanmar used a roll pin, with a second smaller one driven into the first one to add strength to it. Most people just put the one in it when they repair it, and it will fail over time and use. Well that's sure what I did when I replace the clutch so I'm sure that is the cause. And it is at the fork. Is the drift pin reinforced better than a locktighted hardened bolt? I sure don't want to do this again! Thanks for the great response. I will pm you my email.

Not sure about the clearance for a bolt and nut protruding from the fork, been too many years since I’ve seen inside one,
Never recall having a repeat failure using the two pins inside each other. Got your email, will forward manual when I’m back at house in a bit
Other than checking for leaks and condition of clutch and bearings, nothing else to check

No hurry I have to rotate other projects out of the shop first. I will double pin it this time then. I have to admit a local New Holland dealer started carrying Kioti's, and their 5310 I believe it is looked like a nice replacement. Hydro would be nice so the wife could use it too. I am just blown away with how much all of the new compact tractors cost today.
