John Deere 110
Hey Guys. I'm restoring a '72 JD 110. I removed the hydraulic lift which sits on the top of the engine. I took the lines out of the lift because I was thinking it would be easier for the painting step of the frame and what not. I just read in the manual that it says to not remove the lines when removing the engine unless doing hydraulic repairs. I'm just wondering how come it made that note. Can't I just screw the lines back on or is there another step I need to take once I'm ready to put the tractor back together? Any advice is much appreciated.

You are overthinking it :)

Such comments are made to reduce the amount of work a mechanic has to do when removing the engine.

Also helps to keep dirt out of sensitive components
