Need help! I have an 2007 110tlb and I want to add the 7th function valve with the control pedal. I have looked at the stacked valve body on the hoe and it doesn't look hard to do. The deere dealer in my area are not much help. I have looked at the parts list on line, the reason for this is to add a thumb to my machine. Have any of you done this? and is it cost effective? I guess I could go rent a track hoe with a thumb on it but I live in a rural area and the closes rental area is 70 miles away and traveling time would eat in to the job time.

When I got my 110 it came with the 7th function valve and thumb. I know the cost for a thumb from a JD dealer is over $2000. plus the 7th function valve, foot control pedal and the hoses.
Another alternative might be is to look for a backhoe attachment that has the thumb and a 7th function valve, then you can sell your old one. I have seen them for sale in the past. If I come across one for sale I will let you know.

I too am planning to install a seventh valve. I just bought a 110 from an auction where there were two for sale. The other tractor did have this feature and I was able to study the possibility of adding it to a tractor without one.

It seems fairly simple to do. The valve looks to be the same as the other six valves that are stacked together. It looks like it is a simple matter of removing the cap on the last valve and placing the new valve where the cap once was. The cap would then be reconnected to the new valve. All of the mounting and clearance holes for the option already exist in my tractor. I will do this on the bench with the entire valve assembly removed.

The original steel hydraulic feed line will no longer fit so I think I will buy the valve and a new hydraulic feed line from the dealer. The rest I can fabricate myself if the parts are too expensive.
