I am having the same problem after having both needles break! :-(
I have been through the possible causes and found the tucker fingers a little out of adjustment, adjusted them and replaced the return spring for the tucker fingers because someone previous to me had installed a spring that was too long and this situation of the knot being tied over the bale end but not the needle end is now present since needle replacement. Needles are perfectly adjusted per book, twine is being placed properly into the disk holder, tucker fingers are adjusted properly and catching the twine and pulling it into the twine disc holder, too! Hay dogs are all free, entering bale chamber as they should and haydog springs are all good and inplace. Have tried to change the tension on the twine disc holder without any change in the tieing problem.
I would also appreciate any suggestions as to what to check next!
Thanks in advance!
Bruce
