Not the tires I would worry about (presuming a good set would be put on:

Wheel bearing container is notoriously weak on 14t chassis, especially auger side. Yes you can run the tire soft to help reduce impact loads. The tongue removal deal is really no big thing if you have a floor jack. Need to pull off the driveline guard and the drive shaft. Center bolt holds the tongue on the frame.

I didn't know that about the 14T, then again, other then know who makes it and what it looks like I don't know much about JD balers as my only experience with one was to finish the field for the guy as his JD's driveline went out (newer model Deere baler).

I just remember when I was looking to buy a baler the thought of tearing it all apart just to get it home seemed like a lot of work and having never worked on a baler I was afraid of messing something up. Now I wouldn't think twice about it and would probably enjoy myself.
