John Deere 2013-2015, 5E series brake problem?

I would just stay away from all the 5E's. In Canada anyway they are WAY overpriced for what they are. Green Diamond quoted me over 80k for a 5100E, very basic tractor, no powershift, very light duty, nothing fancy. While shopping around it looks like 80-90k will get a much heavier, bigger and nicer 100hp tractor with powershift from Kubota, NH, Case, and MF.

Yeah, got a quote for a new 5065E 12x12 (old style flat tops) this fall with The H series loader, $53,000. Kubota was WAY better deal.

This brake thing bothers me. I have a 2002, 5520, 89HP with zero issue and sort of wanted to buy a 5045 or something like that but now am reluctant. Anyone know if the larger 5000 series M's have a similar brake problem?

I know of several 5 series tractors in my neighborhood, and have spent lots of time on a 5045D and a 5055D, and have never heard of any problems. Could it be a regional thing?

I have a 2014 5055E, last year after i drove it on the road for 3-4 miles, i went to hit my brakes, nothing. Thank goodness it would pump up after 3-4 frantic pumps. Once the tractor cooled off everything was fine. No leaks at all. JD say it was imposable. It did it again later after using it for extended periods. Then I had it hauled to JD and drove it around on the road until it did it again. they replaced the brake valve, which the tractor was out of warranty, and it wasnt cheap. It did not fix the problem. They have it again now, they tinkered with it, said it was fixed, NOT! I am frustrated! Why are we the only ones who know about the issue?
