John Deere 2120

Hi.

I have a John Deere 2120.

I have only had it a couple months, its in fairly good shape.

It has a hydraulic leak that comes from under the right hand floor board. There is a metal line that comes from the front pump into this (valve?) then it feeds up to the control that runs the remotes.

This so called valve bolts onto the right side of the tractor with 3 bolts.

Does anyone know what its actually called? and is there a gasket between it and the tractor?

It seems to me that if there is a gasket then that would be the problem.

Go to jdparts.com and look up your model for the schematics and parts on your tractor. There you would be able to id the part as well as see if a gasket is involved.

The valve in question is the pressure control valve.

Parts key 1 is part number U15415
Parts key 2 is part number R26375.
Parts key 3 is part number R66085.
Parts key 18 is part number R28776

It's a priority valve to try and maintain power steering if the pump can not keep up with rockshaft and SCV flow.

It's also referred to by JD parts catalog authors as a flow control valve as described in upper LH corner of parts catalog page in addition to being referred to as a pressure control valve.

I changed two of the O rings and the leak was fixed.
