Oil & Fuel John Deere 2640 Will Not Start

While I agree that the injector will restrict the flow of fuel for testing purposes I would not go there yet.

Reasoning that there may be other things the OP has not verified yet. If he doesn't know how to remove the hood, does not know what the fuel filter is he needs someone onsite to help with this.

DITTO what jenkinsph stated.

Noticed Yesterday that there is some sort of container, Maybe Glass located behind the fuel pump that the line from the Fuel pump is connected to. What is this and does the line coming into the Diesel Pump come from this container. it appears to have about an inch at the bottom [about where the line from the pump enters that has different coloration. It looks like it might be some sort of settlement device. Any ideas about this. Thank you both for your comments.

First off, as others have suggested, don't remove a fuel injector. It's unlikely that the injector pump failed while the tractor was parked.

That aside, the first thing you really should do is get an operator's manual if you don't already have one. That should describe the process for bleeding the fuel system, which you're going to need to do. Generally speaking, you open up a point downstream of the filter (or the outlet) and then pump on the primer which is part of the fuel lift pump...do that until there are no bubbles coming out, then seal the connection and secure the primer (think the 2640 has the push type that you rotate to secure).

The object you're asking about with the glass is a fuel filter, and the glass lets you see if there's water or sediment in the fuel. Try opening the bleed screw at the bottom to see if you get fuel out. Find the primer on the fuel lift pump and after you open the bleed screw on the filter, pump away until you get fuel out of the bleed screw. If you do, and it doesn't have bubbles...tighten the bleed screw, secure the primer on the fuel pump and see if it will start.
