Hi. First time poster, need some help. I have a JD 2750 with a 245 Loader, and was using it today around the property pushing up and removing some trees/brush etc. Had a big box blade on the back of the tractor. At one point the lift arm (the threaded part) came lose from the housing and the box blade went crashing down. At this point, everything other than the broken lift arm was fine. I moved the arms up and down to remove the box blade, no problems. Then a few minutes later, everything is gone. No rear lift arms, no power steering, no loader controls. Seems as though something just kind of turned off?? Maybe I hit something to disengage the hydra pump? No fluid on the ground, rear end is full. Someone tell me what the heck went wrong. Thanks

1st check frt hyd pump drive as they've been known to strip out. Be sure hyd pump shaft turns when engine turns. How long since hyd filter was changed and sump screen(parts key 30) checked/cleaned?

Thanks for your response. I will check that. We just bought the tractor in July to have something bigger for Hay, so I couldnt tell you when the filter or screens were changed. Is the front pump on the right or left side of the engine if you are sitting in the seat? Right if Im not mistaken?? So I guess by your answer there isnt an on/off switch of sorts from the hydraulic reservoir to everything else. Bummer.

Hyd pump is in the center driven by engine crankshaft damper pulley. Only hyd pump on/off is a stroke control valve no switch.

Front pump is often changed out by guessers. Front pump high pressure system won't work if the transmission's low pressure system isn't pushing oil up to the pump.
Is there any chance that the sharp jolt that went through the tractor stirred up every bit of crude and debris in the transmission which plugged the screen or filter.
Sounds like the vendor short changed you on the operator's manual. The good news is that the parts manual is online at the JD web site. The operator and service manual can be obtained from the nice folks at 1-800-522-7448 on CD or hard copy.

Two other things to check, one is the 'turtle/rabbit' lever that controls the speed of the hydraulics located on the RH side of the frame right under the control levers, and the other is the draft control on the side of the hydraulic control console, there is a slide arc with a hold down knob, that could have been slide downward accidently.

If L/D control mechanism is set correctly then it is fine for the control lever to be at min or max or anywhere in between with no adverse affect on hyd operation. If performing any 3 pt task other than plowing L/D control lever should be set in minimum(D or depth).
