My father-in-law just bought a old John Deere 300B backhoe/loader, he figures its a 70's vintage. Interestingly enough it might even be one he helped build when he was at John Deere Dubuque Works many years ago. This one is a project, but he was able to get it started and drive it the 10 miles home so that's a good start. As he and a renter of his start this we were talking about where he might get parts for something like that. I told him about forum that I just joined a short time ago and the tremendous knowledge and resources available.
Even before he digs into the project, I know there are a couple of things he'll need. A bucket, an original manual, and a hydraulic cylinder for the bucket. If anyone can help or suggest where to look, it'd be greatly appreciated, especially the manual.
Also, where is the best salvage yard where someone might look for older tractor parts?
Many thanks in advance.
