Mid-range, 2nd, 5th and reverse, most of the time, won't engage all the way. It grinds but, if you mess with it, it will go. Low range and high range are all good. Could it be a Range Selector adjustment? I have already put two rounds on the Gear Selector clevis on the shifter rod. Please advise.

Since the other ranges work OK I doubt it is an adjustment problem. An adjustment problem should affect More than one range. Usually 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th are affected or 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 8th are affected together. My guess is the Range shift collar on the bottom shaft in transmission might be worn out. Unfortunately that is a time consuming repair. By all means, it is advisable to check all the shift linkage first to be sure there aren't any worn parts that can be causing problems. Worn shift lever, Quadrants, bushings, rods, and shift arms can contribute to shift problems and should be addressed first, but from the sound of it, the transmission needs to come apart.
