john deere 3025e
I have a John Deere that I bought new in January for clean up after the hurricane. Used it a good bit for two to three months. It has sat for 4-6 months and went to start it the other day and it would make one click on the starter and the whole electrical shut's down. I pulled the battery charged it and went and had the battery tested and the battery is good. I put the battery back in and tried again, only to get the same result starter clicks one time and all electrical shut's down. I disconnect the battery and reconnect and all electrical is back to normal. I have also tried to jump with my truck and get the same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the ground wires from battery to starter/engine block and frame. Remove the cables, clean the surfaces and grease connection to avoid further corrosion.
Check positive connections as well.

Thanks for the info, I did that and still had the same issue. I had a thought and I jumped the starter with a push-button and it turned over. I then tried with the key and it started up. I guess the starter was jammed and it was shutting the system down because of the resistance? I don't know but it starts now.

Possibly you've wiggled a safety switch.
The starter being stuck is possible too. I don't know if it applies to tractors as well, but for cars and trucks it's usual to shut down the dash while the starter is engaged. I honestly didn't pay attention while starting the tractor.

Suggest that you ensure that the brake is engaged and that the transmission is actually in neutral.

Sometimes it will feel like it's the central neutral position, but it isn't. The tractor won't start if it's "in gear", ie: H or L. Same for the brake not being engaged.

I'd also recommend spray-lubricating the brake linkage... it'll stick from time to time, especially with a 'new' tractor.
