Can't answer positives and negatives on 3033R since I have an older 3720 model but the height of the tractor/cab is going to depend largely on which tires you choose. This was a real concern for me when I was buying. I actually measured the height of several 3X20 tractors at the dealer with R1's, large R4's and small R4's. Went with the small R4's at the time to ensure it fit thru the overhead garage door.

Per the John Deere "build your own" tool, R4's can be either 15-19.5 6 ply rating (code 5220) or 43x16-20 4 ply rating (code 5230).

The 3 series and 4 series John Deere compact utility tractors are rebadged 3x20 series and 4x20 series, respectively, with some changes added. I can tell you my 2007 3720 cab tractor with just over 600 hrs has been pretty much trouble free. Only issue when it was new/delivered the A/C didn't operate as expected. It turned out to be a damaged/leaky air seal around the roof which encloses the A/C evaporator, fan, controls. Seal was most likely damaged when the roof was removed at the dealership to install the radio. That was covered under warranty. Oh, the battery had to be replaced last year but that can be expected with over 7 years of service.

I have a 3033r with cab. It has R3's and is 6 inches too tall for a seven foot garage door.On paper it would fit.The R1's cab height is 85 inches .I could have let enough air out to it in the garage.R3's are alledged to be shorter. Not the case. I love the cab. I run the air conditioner and it will freeze your arse off.The hydrostat is a dream. The 72 inch mower cuts beautifully. If I could do over, I would buy the turf specials and chance the belly mower not fitting with out mods. The specials are shorter and fatter. I can not see any reason the specials would interfere with the mower. This is a very heavy tractor and will rut the yard if damp. But in all fairness my scag would do the same. Don't bother buying a radio you wouldn't be able to enjoy it. The noise is greatly diminshed but still too loud without hearing protection. I have about 30 hours and have not encountered any regen. If it has I didn't notice. I like both Deere and Kubota and have had both. This Deere was price competetive with other tractors it's size. It starts like a car and runs smoothly. Fuel consumption is higher than my last (2520), but it weighs twice as much and has air conditioning,( which I run all the time).
