Hi I would need a wiring diagram for a 3040 John Deere tractor . I'm having problems with it the ignition light glows dimly when the tractor is switched off and runs the batteries flat as well

Try disconnecting the alternator &/or voltage regulator and I'll bet the light goes out.

I got the alternator serviced which has a built in regulator but it made no difference and then discovered that someone had been at the wiring hence the need for the wiring diagram
