I have recently purchased a john deere 310b backhoe does anyone know of a website where I can run the serial# so I can find out more info?

Deere.com would be the best place to start. You can still order operator and service manuals for machines this old and get information on non-current construction machines. The serial number will only help in ordering parts.

JD dealer can run the serial number. He can bring up a "build sheet" and any service work done at any JD dealership. It will also tell the original selling date, dealer and owner, but for privacy reasons Former owner info should not be disclosed.
